I’ve loved food for longer than i can remember, I’ve also loved cooking for many years. Although not to keen on the tidy up. I can remember my first ever recipe I followed, good old Blue Peter Sausage Christmas Crackers, I must of been 12 – What I’d give to find that recipe again. (They were a sausage meat mixture in filo crackers if you have it please contact me 🙂 )
Anyway jump forward past a few years of making mince pies and shepherds pie, I found myself looking to create food at home that was easy but also a taste sensation. This timed in around the same time as Instagram foodies took off. It was wasn’t until I started my own family and left the family home that I really started cooking, and from there it has snowballed into a love of all food. I started off with a cookbook, then one became two and somehow two become twenty. Okay maybe 50.
I now use a range of cooking methods including: Stir-fry, Steaming, Oven, Hob, Slow Cooker, Indoor Grilling, Outdoor Grilling & Smoking. The only thing I tend not to do is deep fry, but never say never.
I felt that I also wanted to show friends and family the food I had made but it was always such a task, some only had text messages, others Whatsapp, Facebook or Instagram so I decided I would make this blog just to show what I am cooking.
Now as you can see I don’t update this blog everyday as I would hate to bore you all with basic recipes that I cook on a daily basis. I keep this blog for either new basic food or mouthwatering amazing recipes that I wish to share with you.
Even if no one ever reads this I find it a good journal and it saves me keeping scraps of paper with ideas on and helps tame two of my best hobbies, Web design and Cooking.
